The San Angelo Restaurant Association's main focus is to provide support and guidance to members of our community who would like to further there career in the food service business. We are actively involved with the Central High School Culinary Arts program and will work to help establish a classroom at the lake view campus. Form mentoring students in our restaurants, to having teachers intern with us, as well as giving scholarship money, we try to make our industry one in which people will want to be a part of.

We have given over $100,000 dollars in scholarships, donations, and support for the Culinary Arts program since 2000. We do this with the support of our wonderful community who comes out to the Taste of San Angelo, and now also our "Will Golf For Food" golf tournament. With the funds that we raise we will continue to fulfill our mission of educating our leaders of tomorrow.

We would like to also be able to help move the Culinary Arts Program further along in its path of excellence by having it become a model for a successful business. By incorporating a dinning facility along with its kitchen, the students will get and idea of what it takes to run a small business. This will help them learn what they will need to be successful at what ever they decide to do in there life by teaching them what is necessary to succeed.

I am truly proud to be the president of such a wonderful organization which focuses on what we can do for others instead of just what we need to do for ourselves.
